Where is your studio, and do you photograph in Detroit?
Our studio is in downtown Rochester, about 30 minutes north of downtown Detroit. In the city we photograph on Belle Isle. Elsewhere, most sessions happen at parks like Stony Creek Metropark and Independence Oaks, or in the studio.
When should I book my maternity session?
Reach out at 18 to 28 weeks to hold your date. Sessions happen at 28 to 34 weeks, when your bump is full and you still feel good moving. Due in August? That means reaching out in spring.
What do I actually take home?
Finished artwork. At a private reveal you pick wall art, an album or prints, and every product you choose includes its digital file. Pieces are ready within 7 to 10 business days.
Do I need to bring my own dress?
No. Our wardrobe holds 30+ designer maternity gowns in sizes XS to 4X, and you can try them on at home before your session. Bring something of your own if it means something to you.
Is hair and makeup really included?
Yes. Professional hair and makeup is part of every maternity session, at the studio or your home. You sit down, relax, and walk to the camera already feeling beautiful.
How long does the session take?
As long as it needs to. There is no time limit on your session. Outdoors we stay through golden hour into blue hour, so you get the soft light without watching a clock.
Can my partner and kids be in the photos?
Absolutely. Most moms want a few portraits on their own and a few with the people they love. We plan outfits for everyone so the whole family looks like it belongs together.
